This site is going to be in tandem to a Substack account with both being devoted to the issue of the post-secular and its applications to psychotherapy, but then also, given the nature of the post-secular, all kinds of things. Those registered will be able to post comments/responses.
At first sight, the term ‘postsecular’ seems to fit rather well into the ‘post discourse’ of overcoming an old era and moving into a new order … The term rather refers to the idea that there is space – and more importantly, public space – for religion in our time. An allegedly ‘secular’ state does not imply – according to the emerging consensus of many scholars of religion – that the only location for religion is in the sphere of private individuals and their communities. Even liberal social philosophers such as John Rawls and Jürgen Habermas have acknowledged this fact. –Arie L.
